Who we are

This website belongs to Carnicería 99, a retail meat market and grocery store at 292 W Hermiston Ave, Hermiston, OR 97838. You can reach us by phone at (541) 701-0471 or by email at contact@carniceria99.com.

What this website collects

There is only one place on this site where you give us information: the message form on our contact page.

When you send that form, it collects:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The topic you pick from the list, such as a bulk order or a catering question
• Whatever you write in the message box
• Whether you checked the box giving us permission to text you

Please do not put anything sensitive in the message box. It is a normal email message, not a secure channel. If you need to share something private, call us instead.

You do not need an account to use this site. There is no login, no cart, and no checkout. We do not take payments on this website and we do not store card numbers anywhere on it.

Cookies and browser storage

This site does not set cookies. It does not save anything in your browser's local storage or session storage either. We checked this in a browser, not just in our code.

That is also why you do not see a cookie banner here. We are not asking you to accept anything, because there is nothing to accept.

Our contact page loads two things from other companies, and those companies may set their own cookies in your browser. Both are described in the next section.

Tracking and analytics

We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site. There is no measurement tag, no advertising pixel, and no session recording. Nothing on this site follows you to other websites or builds a profile of you for ads.

Our home, about, and market pages load nothing at all from any other company. Only the contact page reaches outside our own site, and only for the two things below.

What the contact page loads from other companies

A spam screening service

Our contact page uses a spam screening service so that automated bots cannot flood our inbox. Here is what it actually does: it watches how you move, scroll, and interact with the page, and it gives that behavior a score. It sends that score to us so we can tell a real person from a bot. It can set its own cookies in your browser to do this, and it may connect what it sees here with what it sees on other sites that use the same service. It runs on the contact page only.

An embedded map

Our contact page shows a map of the store. That map is a window into a mapping company's own site. When it loads, your IP address and browser information go to that company, and it can set its own cookies. This happens when the page loads, so it happens whether or not you touch the map.

Who else receives your information

We keep this list short on purpose. These are the only parties that get anything from this site:

• A form delivery service. When you press send, this service takes what you typed and passes it to our email inbox. It handles the message on its way to us.
• Our web host. The company that serves this website records standard request information, such as the IP address a request came from and which page was asked for.
• The spam screening service and the mapping company described above, on the contact page only.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We would only hand it over to someone else if the law required it, for example a valid legal request.

Our pages link out to our social media profiles. Those are just links. Once you click one, you have left our site and that platform's own policy covers what happens next. We do not send them anything about you.

Text messages

The message form has a checkbox for text messages. It is unchecked when the page loads, and you have to check it yourself. If you leave it alone, we will not text you.

If you do check it, here is what you are agreeing to:

• We can send you text messages about your message or your order.
• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help.
• Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can shop with us, call us, and order from us without ever agreeing to texts.
• Your agreement is covered by this policy and by our Terms of Use.

Text messages travel through a messaging carrier, which needs your number to deliver them. We do not sell your phone number and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Your message arrives as an email and it sits in our inbox. We keep it as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of what we agreed to. We do not have an automatic deletion schedule, so if you want yours gone, ask us and we will delete it.

How we protect it

The whole site is served over an encrypted connection, so what you type in the form is encrypted on its way to us. The form is screened for spam. After that, your message lives in our business email inbox.

We want to be straight with you: we are a neighborhood market, not a security company. No way of sending information over the internet is perfectly safe, and we will not tell you otherwise.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Show you what you sent us.
• Fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete your message and your contact details.
• Stop texting you, either by replying STOP or by telling us.
• Stop contacting you about your question at all.

This site does not personalize ads, so there is nothing here to opt out of. If you want to turn down ad personalization across the web in general, you can do that at optout.aboutads.info, at optout.networkadvertising.org, or with the Global Privacy Control setting built into some browsers.

Changes to this policy

If we change what this site collects, we will change this page and the date at the top. The date at the top is set by hand, so it tells you when the words actually changed.
